David Victor, Founder of Boomcycle Digital Marketing, works from Executive Base Network as well as a home office. With a focus on AI, David’s company offers services including SEO, Google Ads, and website design. His company even built our new EBN website!
David is also a guitarist/vocalist, formerly of the multi-platinum band BOSTON. He continues to perform live with his band throughout the United States. David also founded a charity, Harmony & Healing, which streams live musical performances in hospices, veteran’s homes, and healthcare facilities for patients, their loved ones, and caregivers.
What attracted you to digital marketing initially?
I always had a knack for figuring things out, so computer science in college was a natural fit. But the tech bug came from my uncle, a chatty and funny WWII techie nerd. He’d let me loose on his collection of dusty radios, and I’d spend hours trying to understand how they worked. It was almost meditative. That focus and curiosity carried over to music and then, surprisingly, to sales. Convincing people to come to your show takes the same kind of quiet persistence as piecing together an old radio. At Boomcycle, I meet people, hear their stories, learn what makes them unique, and translate that into leads for their business.
What’s been the most rewarding part of your work?
I’ve always loved technology, and I’ve always been a fan of being able to reproduce success. This dovetails nicely into building websites and watching businesses grow. Of course, it’s hard to top playing on stage in Boston, MA with BOSTON in front of 20,000 people, but I guess building websites is the next best thing. Or maybe the 14th best thing. But it’s definitely on the list! Honestly, I don’t miss the constant touring, and my ears thank me every day, too.
What have been your biggest business challenges, and how did you overcome them?
I started as a typically shy software developer, just wanting to do my thing, collect a paycheck, and play some rock ‘n roll music. Then in 2003, I saw the opportunity to earn more than I was earning at my employer, and have a lot more fun doing it by starting my own Internet marketing company and helping others build their businesses too.

What business advice would you share?
As an SEO and Google specialist, my tips relate to making people aware of your business when they’re looking for a business that does what you do. Local businesses need to optimize their Google Business Profile, as this hugely impacts maps visibility. Nearly all companies need website fixes – most sites have technical issues hindering performance. Google rewards good user experiences, so faster, more useful sites do better. You also need authoritative content and backlinks so search engines see you as an industry expert. Visibility in Google is critical. If you’re invisible online, you lose opportunities.
What do you enjoy about Executive Base Network?
I love the focus it provides away from home distractions. The deliveries and barking dogs at home used to constantly disrupt my flow. My productivity has definitely increased in this professional oasis. The amenities here help me provide excellent service to my clients, and we can actually now meet in a real office or conference room. My old office in Pleasanton was the size of a phone booth!
